Allied Vision Expands Goldeye Infrared Camera Series

Fast Goldeye G-033 with new InGaAs sensor and Cool version with enhanced sensor cooling added to the SWIR camera family.

Allied Vision introduces new models of its Goldeye infrared camera series at VISION 2014. The Goldeye is a Short-Wave Infrared camera (SWIR) that exhibits sensitivity between 900 and 1,700 nm.

Goldeye G-033: Fastest SWIR camera with GigE Vision interface
The new Goldeye G-033 features the latest InGaAs image sensor technology. It offers the same sensor resolution as the Goldeye G-032 (640 x 512 Pixels). However, with its smaller pixel size (15 µm vs. 25 µm), it can be used with more affordable lenses.

The Goldeye G-033 stands out of the crowd of SWIR cameras with InGaAs sensors with its very high frame rate. The new camera delivers more than 230 frames per seconds (fps) at full resolution in 12 bit mode. Reducing the resolution to QVGA (320 x 240) allows for a frame rate over 900 fps. This makes the Goldeye G-033 the perfect choice for many demanding applications requiring high speed, such as inline inspection (e.g. hot-end glass inspection) or plastics sorting using hyperspectral imaging in the recycling industry.

Goldeye Cool:
Enhanced sensor cooling for long exposure times
At VISION 2014, Allied Vision will also unveil the Cool version of the Goldeye for the first time. As a standard, all Goldeye models come with an active sensor cooling that ensures low-noise, high quality infrared images. The Goldeye G-032 and Goldeye G-033 are fitted with a fan-less Peltier element TEC1 (Thermo Electric Cooling), which can cool the sensor down by 30 K vs. housing temperature.

Machine Vision Cameras for Industrial Inspection by Allied Vision

Allied Vision Technologies (AVT) offers one of the widest camera ranges in the market to ensure industrial processes are more efficient, more precise and deliver the best possible quality. Whether for final quality control, non-destructive testing, robotics or 3D measurement – AVT has the industrial camera you need.

High Quality Machine Vision Cameras for High Quality Products

Industrial cameras from Allied Vision Technologies are designed to face the challenges of high or varying ambient temperatures, shocks and vibrations, and long-time operation for maximal durability and reliability. For example, the Prosilica GT features an extended operating temperature range from -20°C to +60°C. Designed and made in Germany and Canada according to the highest quality standards, all AVT cameras go through a thorough quality check including operation in climate chamber prior to shipping. Our cameras are nothing for amateurs. Because professionals need equipment they can count on.

Easy Integration in Automation Systems

Building cars is not the same as bottling sodas. Therefore, AVT offers a large choice of different housing architectures to fit in your industrial inspection system: from the small housing of the Guppy PRO to the board-level versions of the Stingray or Manta over the periscope-type concept of the Prosilica GB and Prosilica GS. The AVT Modular Concept offers additional angled-head orientations for an affordable price. And if you still don’t know how to integrate yourmachine vision camera, we can design it right to your needs. Our powerful SDKs ensure easy software development in all major operating systems and are compatible with the most popular third-party image processing software solutions.

Networking Interfaces for Multi-Camera Inspection

Quality inspection often implies observing an object from different vantage points or even generating a 3D model of the product from several images. With FireWire and Gigabit Ethernet, Allied Vision Technologies has the best suitable interfaces for high-performance, perfectly synchronized multi-camera systems. For example, the Stingray and Pike FireWire cameras feature two IEEE 1394b interface ports for daisy chain connectivity, which enables the cameras to be directly connected to each other with only one end of the chain linked to the host computer. GigE cameras offer the benefit of long network cable length.

High-Speed Imaging for Highest Productivity

Efficiency and productivity are key to any industrial inspection application. High camera frame rates and high-speed interfaces ensure the quality control will not slow down your production process. From 200 frames per second at VGA resolution up to 400 frames per second at 4 Megapixels, AVT cameras capture sharp images of what your bare eye cannot even see. And with Link Aggregation Group Gigabit Ethernet or Camera Link interfaces, you do not even have to trade off resolution for speed.

Industrial Cameras India - Spark -5000M-PMCL

Ultra-fast 5-megapixel Spark camera

JAI has introduced the Spark SP-5000M-PMCL and Spark SP-5000C-PMCL, a pair of new 5-megapixel industrial cameras in JAI’s high performance Spark Series. The cameras feature a Mini Camera Link interface and can provide full resolution output at up to 134 frames per second for 8-bit monochrome or raw Bayer images, or 120 frames per second for 10-bit images. 12-bit output is also supported at up to 61 fps.

Driving this high performance output is a new 2560 x 2048 pixel CMOS imager initially available exclusively from JAI. The SP-5000 cameras take advantage of a mixture of on-chip and in-camera capabilities to deliver a rare combination of ultra-fast output and high image quality.

For example, the SP-5000’s imager features an auto-scaling front end function that uses the full well capacity even in lower light conditions to more accurately quantize noise and improve dynamic range. On the color model (SP-5000C-PMCL), an on-chip 4-channel analog gain control is provided to allow individual adjustment of R, G1, G2, and B information for better white balancing with reduced noise.

JAI has added in-camera pattern correction algorithms to provide lower noise and better low-light performance than with standard on-chip pattern correction alone. Also included is JAI’s Auto Level Control (ALC) that combines auto gain, auto shutter, and auto iris capabilities in an integrated function to let users optimize their auto exposure control for lowest noise, fastest shutter, or other priorities.

The cameras are equipped with an auxiliary lens control circuit that supports P-iris control, as well as  programmable 3-axis control of  motorized zoom lenses or other analog accessories.

The dual Mini Camera Link interface can be configured to support different data rate requirements using Base, Medium or Full configurations. Power can also be supplied through the Camera Link connectors using a dual-channel-powered frame grabber, or can be provided via the separate 12-pin connector.

The combination of speed and resolution makes the SP-5000-PMCL cameras ideal for high-speed production line inspection, as well as process monitoring and event capture. ROI and binning capabilities, available for both monochrome and color models, provide added flexibility for utilizing both the high frame rate and pixel resolution of the camera.

Outdoor applications benefit from the cameras’ automatic level control (ALC) capabilities, built-in high dynamic range mode (monochrome), and extended temperature rating enabling the camera to operate in  conditions ranging from -45°C to +70°C.

The SP-5000-PMCL accepts standard C-mount lenses. Overall dimensions are 62 x 62 x 55.5 mm (HxWxL).
